Last week, we had the pleasure of listening to 3 parents speak about their immigration experiences. The whole fourth grade gathered together and asked many meaningful questions, making a lot of connections to our social studies unit. It was so much fun. We would like to give a special thank you to the parents who visited and told their immigration stories to our classes!
We are almost 2 months into the school year and our class has been working so hard! In math, we are beginning our unit on addition and subtraction. We have been spending a lot of time completing DICE problems and are working on explaining our answers. In ELA, we are on our second unit in Reading Street. We have been learning how to write fourth grade responses to our weekly questions and have had the opportunity to do a lot of our typing on the Chromebooks. Last week, we had our flashlight reading. The class absolutely loved this! We are working on earning our next reward, which will likely happen in the next few weeks. I am in the process of sending out a sign up sheet for fall conferences via Sign Up Genius, so please be on the look at for this. It will come directly to your email. I hope everyone is having a fantastic fall!
