Happy New Year! I hope everyone's 2019 is off to a great start. We are working hard here in 4G. Our division unit is coming to a end and I am so impressed with how well the whole class has been doing. We will be starting fractions next week and continuing the topic over the next few weeks.
In writing we recently began our informational writing unit. Each student has chosen a topic that he/she feels to be an "expert" on. They have the opportunity to do a little bit of research, but are primarily writing about their topic based on what they already know. Some of the topics chosen are: Hogwarts, Word War II, sea otters, baking, slime, and pandas. The class is having a lot of fun with this unit! As you can see, all snow day information is located right on our website. The assignments will be updated when we have a snow day in order to make sure the work aligns with what we are doing in the classroom. Have a wonderful week! . |
